Comment: Comment: The chestnut tree is a soft wood which stabilizes itself very well - Its light color allows to have a great coloring. The peculiarity of the chestnut burl is that it contains pieces of bark (brownish part), the stabilization makes it possible to join together the wood and the bark. Thus, from an element that could be negative, stabilization makes it an asset, the contrasts reinforcing the aesthetics of these pieces.
