Forged damask is composed of finer fragments than its “cousin”. Damascus carbon like mixed carbon does not have a mesh, it is carbon fragments which are compressed with each other and bonded with epoxy resin. The difference with mixed carbon is in the concentration of fragments, which is greater in damascus carbon.
