Here you'll find pieces made by embedding various materials in acrylic resin: fabric, feathers, paper, gold or silver leaf... This material also makes it possible to design pieces that are dishwasher-safe.
Acrylic is easy to work with, and can be cut with woodworking tools, but care must be taken when sanding and polishing to avoid heating the material.
The resin we use is plexiglass resin / PMMA or poly methyl methacrylate, a transparent, rigid synthetic material. It is commonly used in optical applications, such as car windows and lenses. Its UV resistance and ease of molding make it a popular choice in the plastics and design industries.
The main advantage of acrylic glass is its exceptional, glass-like transparency. It is also very easy to machine and resistant to the products used in dishwashers.
Inclusion under acrylic resin is therefore a good way to dress creations that will be highly resistant.
