Latin name: Tetraclinis articulata.
Origin: North Africa (Morocco and Algeria).
Colour: Very veined red-brown.
Comments: The wire is tormented around darker oval eyes. What forms the magnifying glass is the wood growing in bouquet on the same strain. The strain is used. It delivers a pleasant wood smell characteristic. This wood is hard, which makes it difficult to work. But it offers a very nice finish. It is used in marquetry or small decorative surfaces, but also in sliced and sawn veneers for boxes, music boxes, tabletry, furniture, wall panels and luxury cabinets.
