Comments:A very common tree in Europe, especially in the south (midday in France). This tree reminds us of childhood memories, as it was often present in recreation classes. We find the plane tree on the edge of roads, avenues and parks, it is the tree par excellence of agility. There are only too few trees in the natural state nowadays, it can peak at more than 55 meters (usually 25 meters) and be centuries old (bicentennial nowadays). It is a medium heavy wood (0.6-0.8), rather unsustainable. The plane tree has many brown meshes, wider than that of beech.
If you're a fan of ancient Greece, know that the famous Spartans used the plane tree as a natural shade during their training.
