The 80CRV2 steel is a carbon steel with one excellent hardness. It has an easier heat treatment process and is ideal for beginners. It is also known as 1080+. Sold: laminated, decapitated and annealed.

The 80CRV2 steel is a carbon steel with one excellent hardness. It has an easier heat treatment process and is ideal for beginners. It is also known as 1080+. Sold: laminated, decapitated and annealed.
All our steels are delivered to flat and relaxed (This allows reduce wear during heat treatment)

Uses: knife blades requiring bending, resistant to impact, suitable for long blade (hunting knife, camp knife, dagger...).

Thermal treatment:
- Trempe at 840 – 880°C for 5 minutes / then in oil
- Revenue for 2 hours at 200°C for 60HRc
- Revenue for 2 hours at 250°C for 57 HRc

Max. length: 10 to 700 mm
Width: 30, 40, 50, 75, 100, 150 and 400 mm
Thickness: 2.3, 3, 4 and 5 mm
