Comment : This tree pricipally comes from Algeria and Morocco.This wood is brown.Its grain is rugged around darker oval eyes. The burl is formed by wood growing in bunch aroud one stock.This burl is the only one beeing of a density upper than 1. This wood is hard so difficult to work.But it offers a very nice finishing.It is used in marquetry or little decorative surfaces,but also in veneerings sliced and sawed for cases,music boxes,slabs,pieces of furniture wall pannels and luxury cabinet making.
