Comments: A true substitute for ivory, Elforyn takes over the grain and color of ivory. Made in Germany, there are several references from Elforyn: white or marbled and the super Elforyn which is even closer to ivory because it has patterns, called "Schreger's lines" as for true ivory.
It is a material that behaves and works like ivory. Elforyn® is a polyurethane-based material that has a certificate of compliance. The key features of Elforyn® are:
- excellent mechanical machineability: drilling, milling, grinding and polishing,
- low risk of rupture: homogeneous structural composition,
- high surface hardness,
- resistant to all ordinary substances such as cleaning agents, oils, fats, acids and alkalis,
- little or no water absorption,
- may be thermoformed in boiling water,
- maybe polished and varnished,
- pleasant touch thanks to good thermal characteristics.
