European deer antler(Cervus elaphus) is one of the most widely used natural materials for handcrafted cutlery. Andouillers, logs, crowns and handles: each piece comes from the natural moult of the elaphe deer, collected without slaughtering the animal. Deer antlers vary in hardness and density according to age, sex and part of the antler, offering the knifemaker a palette of incomparable organic shapes and textures - from light to dark brown, with grooves and reliefs that make each handle truly unique.
At Mercorne, we've been selecting and cutting our European stag antler for 34 years in our workshop in France. Our catalog features one of the most complete collections on the market: whole antlers, crowns, logs, rough-cut handles and ready-to-assemble pieces. Any doubts about choice or installation? Olivier can personally answer all your technical questions.
