Description

Latin name: Populus negra.

Origin: Denmark.

Colour: Beige golden (natural)

Comments : This species is found throughout the northern hemisphere. The poplar we use is exclusively European. These poplars belong to the Salicaceae family. Since 2020, we have been offering you a new, more effective stabilisation. This new recipe is odourless, with a better impregnation rate and the same high quality wood/resin homogeneity.

Stabilising a material literally means making it more stable. In most cases, you could say that this operation consists of densifying it using a resin. Using a process that we keep secret, we allow resin and/or colour pigments to penetrate to the core.

The result is a more homogeneous material, which is often more aesthetically pleasing because the resin (and/or the pigments) highlight(s) the designs of the stabilised piece.

In addition to the aesthetic aspects, this process makes materials with poor mechanical properties usable. In this way, wood that has been "overheated" or severely damaged is restored to its former glory.

In order to offer you the most attractive prices, this product is not sold polished. Photo for information only.

All product measurements are in millimetres (mm)

Measurements are rounded down to the nearest millimetre. Irregularly shaped pieces are measured to indicate the minimum usable volume.
