This process consolidates the fossil structure, homogenizes the material and gives it a deep, luminous violet hue, enhancing the natural beauty of the material. In the workshop, BY RAFFIR stabilized mammoth molar is easily worked with conventional woodworking tools: milling, progressive sanding to fine grain, then polishing with paste to reveal a spectacular glossy sheen. Its dimensional stability guarantees a perfect hold over time, even with intensive use.
