Mercorne shipping costs: what you pay, what we cover
Mercorne shipping costs: what you pay, what we cover
When ordering noble materials for cutlery - stabilized woods, mammoth ivory, rare horns - the question of shipping costs is a legitimate one. These materials are valuable. Transport must be commensurate.
Here's how Mercorne's shipping costs work.
A calculation based on the carrier's actual cost
The shipping costs charged correspond exactly to the rate applied by the carrier, calculated according to the weight and, if necessary, the volume of your package. There are no arbitrary flat rates, no hidden margins.
What you see in your basket is what it costs.
Transport insurance: at our expense
When your order contains high-value items, transport insurance is systematically applied. This is not charged to your invoice.
Mercorne takes full responsibility for this insurance. Securing the shipment of precious materials is part of our responsibility to you.
Packaging and preparation: part of our commitment
Each order is prepared by hand by our team: parts are checked, wedged, protected and verified before departure. Packing materials - cardboard, foam, protective supplies - are not billed to you.
This preparation work is an integral part of our service, not an additional charge.
To sum up
You pay: the carrier's actual rate, calculated by weight.
Mercorne covers: transport insurance on high-value orders.
Included at no extra cost: packaging and careful preparation of your parcel.
At Mercorne, we've been working this way since 1992. No hidden charges. No nasty surprises on delivery. Just exceptional materials, shipped with the seriousness they deserve.
Have a nice day.
