Latin name: Populus negra
Origin: FRANCE
Color: Golden beige (natural)
Comments : The range of this species covers the entire northern hemisphere. The poplar we use is exclusively European. These poplars belong to the Salicaceae family. Since 2020, we've been offering a new, more effective stabilization. This new recipe is odorless, with a higher impregnation rate and the same high quality wood/resin homogeneity.
Stabilizing a material literally means making it more stable. In most cases, you could say that this operation consists in densifying it, using a resin. Using a process that we keep secret, we let resin and/or color pigments penetrate to the core.
The result is a more homogeneous and often more aesthetically pleasing material, as the resin (and/or pigments) highlights the designs of the stabilized piece.
In addition to the aesthetic aspects, this process makes materials with poor mechanical properties usable. In this way, "overheated" or badly damaged wood regains its nobility.
In order to offer you the most attractive prices, this product is not sold polished. Photo for information only.
