15N20 steel is a nickel-alloyed steel, widely used in the manufacture of Damascus steel thanks to its ability to resist acid etching, remaining bright in contrast to other steels. This steel is also an excellent choice for beginners in cutlery.

Mechanical properties: Moderate to high hardness after heat treatment, good corrosion resistance, exceptional aesthetics in Damascus steel.
Heat treatment :
- Heating: Heat to 800 - 830°C
- Quench: Soak in oil (recommended oil: Rye 50)
- Tempering: Temper for two hours at 200°C to approximately 60 HRc
Advantages: Bright contrast in Damascus steel, ease of heat treatment, machinability.
Supply format: Length: 595 mm, Packaging: Hot rolled, pickled, annealed.
