Our Values
Our Values
Our values are represented by the symbols on our logo, marking our attachment to West Africa. This Africa that welcomed us; this Africa that is at the origin of the Mercorne adventure. To be read with the ever-imaginative spirit of Black African culture. These symbols, which originated in Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire, are traditionally used to adorn objects, giving them a function of transmitting messages about the wisdom of traditions.
- Kwatakye Atiko, representing the hairstyle of an Ashanti warrior. A symbol of bravery and fearlessness. We wanted to show our determination - and it took some - and our sense of commitment.
- Pempamsie, representing the link in a chain, illustrating "union is strength".
- Mpuanunum, the five tufts of hair, the traditional hairstyle of priestesses to illustrate our values of loyalty and fidelity.
- Mmusuyidee, symbol for luck and sacredness, to remove bad luck, or bring good luck!
- Adinkrahene, the most important of the Adinkra symbols, as it is considered the first to have inspired all the others. It symbolizes charisma and leadership. Our intention here is to illustrate our desire to always move forward and be creative.
- Mfraadan, the windmill, representing a house well built to withstand harsh weather conditions, symbolizing courage and willpower.
- Dewennimmen, the ram's horns symbolizing humility with strength. The rams' horns illustrate the story of the ram capable of fighting with strength, yet humble at the hour of his death.
- Orsram, the moon, for from the moon you can see the whole earth. To illustrate our desire for patience and understanding.
- Nkontim, the queen's hair, symbolizing loyalty and service
