Flamed poplar(Populus nigra) is a European wood with golden reflections and characteristic undulating patterns, formed by the natural curvature of the wood fibers. Highly sought-after by knifemakers for its flame-like patterns - evocative of a forest in motion - it offers a warm and original aesthetic, difficult to find in other species.

This handle is stabilized using Mercorne's exclusive process: core impregnation of a pigmented resin under vacuum and high pressure. The khaki tint adds a natural, discreet note that enhances the wood's flames without overpowering them. The recipe, improved since 2020, is odorless and guarantees an optimal impregnation rate. The material takes on an exceptional gloss polish and is easy to work with conventional woodworking tools.

This handle is made up of 2 matched inserts: the pattern on insert 1 corresponds exactly to that on insert 2. The price indicated is for the complete handle (2 inserts).
