Mammoth ivory pulp is an exceptionally rare fossil material, extracted from the tusks of woolly mammoths(Mammuthus primigenius) found in the frozen soils of Siberia and Alaska. Unlike solid ivory, the pulp refers to the central part of the tusk, often more porous and criss-crossed by mineral veins that give it unique hues ranging from cream to golden brown, sometimes enhanced by blue or green nuances depending on the surrounding minerals.

Mercorne stabilizes this mammoth ivory pulp by impregnating it with a beige resin using its exclusive process: the resin penetrates to the core to consolidate fragile areas, homogenize density and sublimate the natural beauty of the material.
