This walrus ivory (Odobenus rosmarus) handle is an exceptional material, made from legally imported and rigorously traceable ivory (internal reference DJUA2 K and M, registration number FR2201000003-I). Walrus ivory is characterized by its warm ivory hue, its natural nuances ranging from off-white to slightly golden cream, and a very fine grain that sets it apart from other ivories.

This handle is composed of 2 matched plates (K and M): the pattern on the K plate corresponds exactly to that on the M plate. The price indicated is for the complete handle (2 plates). This matching is a distinctive Mercorne know-how that guarantees a harmonious, symmetrical visual effect on the finished knife.

Extremely prized in fine cutlery and luxury tableware, walrus ivory has a high density and excellent dimensional stability.
