Reconstituted stones are a composite obtained from mineral powders (crushed natural stones, pigments) agglomerated with resin under pressure. The result is a dense, homogeneous and stable material, offering material effects very similar to natural stone - marbled, granulated, veined - with the mechanical regularity of a modern composite. The lot contains several pieces of various colors and patterns, cut by the Mercorne workshop, each lot being by nature unique.

In art cutlery, reconstituted stone offcuts are perfect for trials, prototypes, small handles or accompanying pieces (inserts, ferrules, mosaic decor). The material can be sawn with a band saw, sanded with water-based paper and polished to a smooth, shiny finish. Purchasing a batch of off-cuts allows you to discover the material at a lower cost, while benefiting from the Mercorne know-how developed since 1992.
