Inox Z20, steel for springs and liner plates
X20Cr13, also known as Z20C13, is a martensitic stainless steel with a medium-to-high carbon content (0.1% to 1.2%) and a high chromium content (12% to 18%). The main advantage of this type of steel is its excellent hardenability.
Another characteristic of martensitic steel is its relatively low corrosion resistance. It may or may not be quenched and tempered, depending on its intended use
It must first be heated slowly to over 850°C, followed by rapid heating to between 1150°C and 1180°C. Forging can then be performed within a temperature range of1100°C to 950°C.
