Handleivory pulp from mammouth stabilised / resin beige

Mammoth ivory pulp is the central, more porous part of the tusk of the woolly mammoth(Mammuthus primigenius), a tens of thousands of years old fossil extracted mainly from Siberia. Naturally more fragile than the outer cortex, it is stabilized by Mercorne through a core impregnation of beige resin, using an exclusive process mastered in our workshop for many years. The result is a dense, homogeneous and mechanically resistant composite material in warm ivory and beige hues, with organic veining absolutely unique to each piece.

In cutlery, stabilized mammoth ivory pulp is a prestigious material: its rarity, fossil origin and natural aesthetics give the knife incomparable historical and artistic value. It is easily polished to a deep gloss that reveals its inner nuances. The beige color of the stabilizing resin blends harmoniously with the natural hues of the ivory to create a warm, elegant finish.

This handle is composed of 2 matched plates: the pattern on plate 1 corresponds exactly to that on plate 2. The price indicated is for the complete handle (2 plates).
