Woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius) is an exceptional fossilized material, derived from the tusks of mammoths found in Siberian permafrost. In this blue version, the mammoth ivory has been stabilized by Mercorne in its workshop with a blue pigment, using an exclusive, odorless process. The coloring penetrates deep into the material thanks to the high impregnation rate, creating a striking contrast between the blue hue and the natural veining of the fossilized ivory. This treatment also improves density, moisture resistance and durability. It is easy to work with conventional woodworking tools and takes on a high-quality mirror polish. Each handle is unique: the customer receives exactly the product photographed. This handle is made up of 2 matching plates: the pattern on plate 1 corresponds exactly to that on plate 2. The price quoted is for the complete handle (2 inserts).
