Since 2006, Mercorne has had the expertise to create the PMMA resin model. We are proud to realize ourselves and improve our manufacturing processes without ceasing, in order to offer you ever more efficient materials (guarantees without bubbles and without yellowing in time). And especially moose materials are customizable.
Here we propose pieces made by inclusion in an acrylic resin of various things: fabrics, feathers, paper, gold or silver leaves ... This material also allows to design parts that are compatible with dishwasher washing.
Acrylic works easily, it cuts out with wood tools but care must be taken to sanding and polishing not to heat the material.
The resin we use is the plexiglass resin / PMMA or polymethyl methacrylate, is a transparent and rigid synthetic material. It is commonly used in optical applications, such as car windows and lenses. Its UV resistance and easy molding make it a popular choice in the plastics and design industry.
The advantage of acrylic glass is above all its exceptional transparency, close to the glass. It is also very easy to manufacture and resists products used in dishwashers.
Inclusion under acrylic resin is therefore a good way to dress creations that will be very resistant.
