Knife horns and tusks | Mercorne selection

Animal horns and tusks are among the oldest natural materials used in cutlery. Buffalo, zebu, ram, warthog or impala horn: each species offers its own density, hue and fiber, giving each handle its own unique character. Resistant, easy to work with and pleasant in the hand, they appeal equally to novice cutlers and experienced craftsmen.

Since 1992, Mercorne has been rigorously selecting its horns and tusks from controlled suppliers. Each piece is cut in our workshop in France, in matched pairs when the format requires it. Our catalog covers nine species - ram, blesbock, buffalo, impala, kudu, warthog, springbok, cow and zebu - to suit all projects, from work knives to exceptional pieces.
